Location: The South West Hemisphere
Latitude: 24°47′S 65°25′W ->northern land boundary
55°3′51″S 66°33′06″W ¹ -> southern land boundary
Land area: 1,745,970 km2
Water area: 24,546 km2
Land boundaries/coastlines: All surrounded by water (see map)
Land use: Land around volcanoes is mostly used farming because of its rich ground. (scroll down to learn more)
Total renewable water sources: 1,127 cu km
Freshwater withdrawal: Because of the melted snow in the mountains, there has been a lot of sweet water lakes created all across the Soutern area of Bangta. We can either take drinking water from those lakes or take the ground water.
Natural hazards: Volcanoes along the south-west coastline. (not active anymore)
Terrain: Northern area is subtropical, Southern area is mountainous and the middle of the country has mosty flat land with hills in the more soutern area. (scroll down to learn more)
Elevation: Highest point- Rydamta 6,960 m

The haven't been active in over a couple of hundred years and are not going to errupt aytime for atleast a couple of thousand years. Another reason why there are volcanoes is because of its rich soil. Right after an eruption the plants spring up from the mineral-rich soil. This is to restore the area, which if you think about it makes sense because lava has the essential nutrients for such rapid grow.. In a habitat where vegetation is being constantly destroyed the soil needs to be fertile to quickly begin again. This is also the case at our Volcanoes only luckly nothing gets destroyed! Terrein Bangta has a wide variety of different terreins and biomes. The colder Southern part contains mountains, the Northern warmer part is home to big subtropical forests and in the South-West there are even volcanoes. This wide variety of places to visit and the different natural resources they give, is the reason why my utopia has it. |
How are they made? In the Soutern part of Bangta you will find the beautiful mountains. They are formed by a destructive margin, also known as a convergent boundary. At this boundary the Nazca Plate and the South American Plate come together, but also the Nazca Plate and the Antarctic Plate.
Why is all of Bangta surrounded by water? The fact that Bangta has no land boundaries has a good reason. This is one of the factors which keep the country save in times of war and make it harder for other countries to invade. Subtropical forests Because of the warm and humid climat in the North of Bangta there are many subtropical forest. These forests are home to many animals and plants. This is why it is very popular to nature lovers and people who like to see more of Bangta's beautiful sights. Total renewable water sources THis is the long-term average water availability for a country in cubic kilometers of precipitation, recharged ground water, and surface inflows from surrounding countries. Water is a very important, no crucial part of our life. Bangta has, in comparison to many other countries, a very large amount of water available. This is because I want the people to have enough water and food for everyone, with this amount no one has to worry about shortages. |
